CSC welcomes September with special perks for civil servants on the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.
SM Department Stores will once again treat state employees to a three-day nationwide sale on September 17 to 19, 2013. A 5% discount will be granted on all regular items for every minimum
purchase of P500 to those who present an official government
identification or GSIS card, while a 10% discount for every minimum
purchase of P500.00 will be granted to those who will be able to present
their SM Advantage Card, SM Prestige Card, MOM Card or BDO Reward Card
along with their government IDs.
The special promo exclude purchases at Snack Exchange, Camera Shop,
Customer Service Counters, and items like chemical, toiletries, diapers,
pharmacy, small appliances, business machines, and other promo items.
There will be a special treat from Jollibee from September 19 to 21, 2013.
All you need to do is present an official government office ID or GSIS
ID at any Jollibee Metro North branches (Metro Manila stores) and get a
free macaroni soup for every minimum food purchase of P300.00.
Civil servants will also get to enjoy free train rides courtesy of
the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA)
through the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) on
September 19.
Only bonafide government employees with valid IDs may avail of the
free rides. Free MRT-3 ride starts at 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and will
resume at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free LRT Lines 1 and 2 rides may be
availed at 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. only.
Meanwhile, national art galleries, the Museum of the Filipino People,
the Planetarium and branch museums will grant complementary entrance to
all government officials and employees for the whole month of
September. The offering of free entrance and on official time aims to
encourage public servants to visit the country’s rich cultural
treasures. However, the privilege is only limited to public servants and
will not be extended to their companions.
