The Climate Change Commission, which is attached to the Office of the President, is an independent and autonomous agency with the same status as that of a national government. It is the sole policy-making body of the government tasked to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the programs and action plans of the government relating to climate change.
Starting November 25 to 27, the whole nation is going to celebrate the Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week . The theme of the festival is " I Plan . I Act . " We aim to call the attention of our citizens on the needs to make a plan of actions to help prevent climate change. Of course, we also need to carry out these plans. It need not to be grandiose plan.For example, on grocery shopping, Practice carrying your own eco bag so, if you suddenly need to buy anything you have prepared container .
Inside your home , plan how you will reduce your electricity consumption. For example , you can replace all incandescent bulbs or indoor lights to LED or CFL . Schedule regular cleaning of your air conditioning units or refrigerators .

More prepared activities and programs by the Climate Change Commission will be launched at the SMX Convention Center. Starting off with Greeneration Summit to be attended by students in various universities and colleges in Metro Manila . We are going to present their achievements in their school that help our efforts against climate change and the plans they have in the coming years .
There will also please the local government summit which show the various plans or preparation programs and local governments against climate change . Of course , please also show the way how enforced or implemented the plan.
Please also allocated us a day for our business sector discuss where they can be contributed to our efforts .
