The winning entry will be announced via Facebook on 21 February 2014. | |||
The winner will be notified via email or phone and may claim his/her prize at the British Council office. | |||
The winner must present the ID specified on the application form to claim the prize. |
HOW TO JOIN
Submission Requirements
Participants must email their entry to francesca.santiano@britishcouncil.org.ph. | |||
Entries must be 8.5 X 11 inches in size (minimum 1MB in file size, Maximum 3MB file size), in Jpeg or GIF format. All entries must be in high resolution and must be in Portrait layout. All submitted entries become property of the British Council. | |||
Entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form. Download the entry form HERE. | |||
Only original artworks will be accepted. Design can be any artwork or graphic design, including but NOT limited to an actual photo, a drawing or a collage. The artwork MUST be in a format that can be shared digitally. | |||
Any photos or designs incorporated in the design that are not original must be supported by evidence that there is no copyright infringement. Any entries which infringe on copyright will automatically be disqualified. | |||
Deadline of submission is at 4.00 p.m. on 23 January 2014. Only one entry per person will be accepted. In case multiple entries are submitted, the first submission will be considered the official entry of the participant, unless otherwise communicated in the accompanying email. | |||
Entries will be posted on the British Council Facebook page once received and approved and will then be open for online voting from 24 January, 2014 at 10.00 a.m. until 06 February 2014, 4.00 p.m. |
JUDGING PROCESS
A. Upon submission
1. Each entry will be automatically judged by British Council staff on 2 key areas:
Adherence to the theme and creativity - 50% | |||
Overall appeal - 50% |
2. Only completed application forms with corresponding original artwork will be accepted.
B. Pre-Selection for the UK Education Exhibition 2014 Finals
There will be 10 artworks chosen for the finals | |||
5 will be chosen through the most number of Facebook “likes” | |||
5 will be chosen by British Council Philippines Staff |
C. Final Judging
All 10 designs of the finalists will be displayed at the UK Education Exhibition 2014 on 15 February 2014 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Makati City. | |||
All finalists are strongly recommended to attend the UK Education Exhibition to view their artwork on display and to vote. | |||
All attendees to the exhibition get only one chance to vote for an entry. | |||
The winner will be determined by the highest number of votes submitted on 15 February 2014 at the UK Education Exhibition. |
All attendees will be encouraged to focus on the following criteria when voting for an entry:
Incorporates the theme strongly: 30pts | |||
Design and creativity: 40pts | |||
Overall impact: 30pts |
