The
Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SOPI) through its Road
Safety Division will conduct the 42nd National Road Safety Convention
and General Assembly with the theme, "BE (Behavior Enhancement) Safe on the Road” from May 31 to June 1, 2012 at the Traders Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
The Safety Organization of the Philippines (SOPI) is a non-profit,
non-govermental, national public service organization dedicated to
protecting life and promoting health. Members of SOPI include
businesses, schools, public agencies, private groups, labor
organizations and individuals. Founded in 1959, the primary focus of
SOPI is preventing deaths and injuries that occur in workplace, homes,
communities and roads.
The Convention aims to bring together experts on road
safety to discuss road and traffic safety issues, problems, solutions
and technological advances in this particular field. This interaction
will generate workable ideas and action plans to achieve the target road
environment for the public and the future generations of road users.
